color effects

1)Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting

Colors can have a large effect on our emotions. Specifically Red, it can symbolize anger and danger, but it is also used to show joy and love. The color Yellow can show fearfulness and ill health, but it is also the color of a warm and sunny summer day. Context is the only real way to provide clues to emotional impact or a color's meaning.

2)What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why?

As an artist I truly appreciate all aspects of color. In fact I love working with color more then just black and white. My favorite theoretical aspect of color is intensity, to me that's what makes color stand out. It says so much in a piece of work and can vary dramatically.

3. In the Color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?

I found the entire video very interesting and impactful. Ive always loved color and found it to be a huge importance in my life, after watching this video it really broke it down for me. Ive always felt different emotions about different colors but never truly understood how it worked.

4. In the Feelings video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?

I feel similar about this video as I did about the color video. but for me the biggest impact is the detail they went into about the modern idea that goes hand in hand with the creation of the modern world. It also went into similar things that the color video did. It gave me a lot of information and a better understanding of color and emotions which is very important for my future career as an art teacher.
